There are also some "lookdown windows" in the floor to stand on, a souvenir shop and a cafe where visitors can enjoy refreshments.

Kamakura Buddha Temple

It is located in a small town in Kanagawa 1.5 hours away. Kamakura, although small and somewhat remote, has a long and illustrious history reflected in its architectural legacy, especially its numerous shrines and temples. Kamakura is famous as home of the "Daibutsu" or "Great Buddha" a 11.4 meter (37 ft), 121 ton bronze statue of the Buddha, constructed in 1252 at the height of Hojo power.

Todaiji

The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan and grew so powerful that the capital was moved from Nara to Nagaoka in 784 in order to lower the temple's influence on government affairs.

Miyajima

Miyajima is famous for its Itsukushima Jinja Shrine. Its red torii gate appears to be standing in the sea during high tide.
